The Titan Dreamer’s Resource Center is designed to provide undocumented students with academic and emotional support, referrals to financial assistance, information on programs and services designed to improve retention and graduation rates, and a safe space where students can connect with one another, according to their website.
The center has been helping students since the establishment of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, or D.A.C.A., in 2012. To qualify for the program, students had to meet various requirements, reapply every two years and pay a large fee. Earlier this month, President Donald Trump announced D.A.C.A. would no longer exist in six months, pressuring Congress to create and pass legislation. With the future of the program now uncertain it seems like the Dreamers of California State University, Fullerton need the resource center more than ever.
